Questions
Before you start
The free training goes deeper on all of this, with a real home setup.
Isn’t the microgreens market already saturated?
Not the way we teach it. Most growers compete for restaurants and farmers market stalls. We start you with home delivery to households near you, a market most growers overlook. Your first customers are neighbors who have never had fresh microgreens brought to their door.
Do I need a lot of space or money to start?
No. One rack in a spare room is enough, and you can test the idea for a few hundred dollars. You grow to order, so you only plant what customers have already asked for.
How much can I make?
It depends on how many customers you serve each week. Students in the results above reached 30 to 45 trays a week within their first couple of months. Our profit guide shows how to work out your own numbers before you spend much.
I already have a job. Will this fit around it?
Yes. You choose your growing and delivery days, and most of the work fits into evenings and one delivery run a week. Start with a handful of customers and grow from there.
Do I need a license to sell microgreens?
Rules vary by state, province and county, and selling fresh produce is often simpler than people expect. One short call to your local health department answers it. Our start guide lists exactly what to ask.
